A polêmica disputa entre QWERTY e DVORAK
O teclado simplificado Dvorak foi desenvolvido pelos designers August Dvorak e William Dealey em 1932 como uma alternativa para o ultrapassado QWERTY, criado para não encavalar as teclas da máquina de escrever. Hoje em dia, não há necessidade de manter a atual disposição de letras no teclado, já que não faz mal se digitarmos duas teclas contíguas (elas não vão se encavalar no computador). O moderno Dvorak é recomendado por ergonomistas, pois uma pessoa digitando em inglês no Dvorak se esforça 20 vezes menos do que se estivesse digitando num teclado QWERTY.
Existem versões do Dvorak para uso de uma só mão. Esses layouts, um para mão direita e outro para mão esquerda, reagrupam as letras mais importantes em uma das metades do teclado.

o QWERTY já é parte do meu dia…. nao me imagino com outro padrãoo seria o mesmo que escrever com a canhota sendo destro…

Não entendi direito como o Eric Sanderson usa o código QWERTY para decifrar os fragmentos da lâmpada. Entendi que no começo ele estava fazendo errado e que o ratão Fidorous o ajuda com a maneira certa, mas mesmo assim não entedi. Alguma idéia?
Então, a cada sequencia de um determinado número de letras que ele desifra em morse (com a lâmpada), o ‘caminho’ que ele faz no teclado qwery pra descobrir a letra certa forma uma outra letra…
Ou seja, há uma outra mensagem… umas cinco vezes menos, mais ou menos, além da mesagem que ele decifra usando as instruções do Eric Nº1!

Fiquei muito curioso para experimentar o layout devorak.
O qwert nada mais é do que pior configuração espacial possível de letras no teclado, a maneira de deixar a datilografia mais lenta (ou mesmo rápida, mas mais trabalhosa). Incrível como temos a tendência de continuar usando coisas ruins apenas por hábito.
Qualquer hora (quando tiver tempo para digitar os textos mais lentamente até me adaptar) vou trocar de sistema.
